A moving short film by the storytellers over at Vinegar Hill in Indiana, PA. It carries subtle sci-fi sensibilities with a dialogue-less, score-driven fairytale about the lengths a man will go for the one he loves. Watch The Cosmonaut here. You should also check out their podcast New American Storytellers. It is a weekly series discussing filmmaking, storytelling and the creative process…and it does not disappoint. Lastly, they are working on a new feature called “Twin Reflex”. Learn about it here and donate to the kickstarter campaign to help get the film finished! I had an opportunity to sit down over lunch and a beer with these guys a couple of weeks ago. They share quite the passion for cinema and I look forward to seeing what emerges from them in the years to come.
This is just a formal notice to all that have identified my work with Strange Red Films that I have decided after 6 years to put the name to rest. In this time, I have learned some tremendous things and have grown considerably as both a businessman, an artist and a person. I have been humbled by the amazing work I have been able to be a part of and the lasting relationships formed as a result. As I move into a new season of my filmmaking and visual storytelling career, I have decided to make a few strategic and logistical business decisions. One of them, namely, is temporarily getting back to basics. I have incorporated under the name Cory Pampalone, Inc and will continue to conduct business and serve my clients under this banner.
As for the future, well I leave that to the Grace of God. There are some good things brewing for sure, creative collaborations forming and new business ventures emerging. I am excited for what fruit may bear.
Just a little retrospect for our three year anniversary on June 10th. She has been quite the trooper with my incessant requests for camera time. Blessed beyond belief. Thank you Lord for my amazing wife.

Made for the official Aquafresh website and Facebook page, the following series of videos was designed to help parents with children who have a difficult time with toothbrushing and the dentist. Dr. Abi Gewirtz takes us through some helpful techniques she finds effective in working with your children to achieve successful results.
While we didn’t win the Conan VD Explosion contest (congrats to TeraBrite), Team Coco officially recognized us on the Team Coco Blog as one of their favorite videos. We are the second one down from the top! Nikki and I had a blast making this and hope to do more sketches in the future. A big thanks again to Team Coco for the props. It means a lot coming from a show I have been a fan of since it’s humble beginnings in 1993.

This adventure was with one of my best friend Matt Pavlovcic’s (pictured left) agency, Pavomatic back in 2008. Our client was ZeroNines, a cloud computing and disaster prevention company out of the South Bay area of San Francisco. We were tasked with doing a brand video showcasing the capabilities and need for cloud computing technology. I was fortunate to be able to get to the 23rd floor of one of the taller buildings in San Francisco for some wide city shots. In four days work, we were able to squeeze in burning laptops, taking his dalmatian for walks, visiting the old Ghiradelli factory in Petaluma, two trips to In-n-Out Burger, two edits for ZeroNines, and shooting and editing a music video for Matt’s band “Atom and the Bombs”. Stressful, blissful, amazing. I wouldn’t have had it any other way. Click here to see the full Flickr set.
